New York, NY (77WABC)- The NYPD says an off duty NYPD female officer was pronounced dead after being found unconscious with stab wounds inside of an apartment #1N at 780 Grand Concourse in the Bronx early Monday.
The NYPD says officers from the 44th Precinct responded to the scene finding the off duty officer unconscious and unresponsive with multiple stab wounds. Police say she was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.
A 34-year-old male turned himself in at a neighboring precinct and the investigation remains ongoing.
The identity of the deceased is pending proper family notification.
