Intern Dean Pavlou – Rangers Lightning Series tied at Two

kyodo-news-2

After taking a 2-0 series lead against the Lightning at home Tampa Bay responded with two wins on their home ice evening the series. After two games in Tampa Bay the series will now shift back to the Garden for a pivotal game five. Even though this isn’t a do or die game for the Rangers it may feel like it a little bit since game six will be back in Tampa Bay and New York doesn’t want to be down 3-2 heading into that game. Ryan Strome who missed game four and Filip Chytil who went out with an injury in the 2nd period of game four will be game time decisions for game five tonight. The Rangers need to get back to doing what they were doing in the first two games which was getting the puck to the front of the net and being relentless. Andrei Vasilevskiy played incredibly well in games three and four, but the Rangers will try to make him work hard tonight so that he doesn’t have that same success. Although the Rangers have lost the last two games Shesterkin has played well in every game so far and will look to continue that trend in game five. I believe that the Rangers will take game five at home tonight and take a 3 games to 2 lead in the series.
