NEW YORK (77WABC) — New video posted to Instagram shows a teenager being robbed in broad daylight at gunpoint in Brooklyn while bystanders recorded the incident.
On Tuesday, June 7 around 10:40 p.m., police responded to a 911 call a robbery in front of 150 Furman Street near Brooklyn Bridge Park. Officers were informed by a 14-year-old male victim that he was approached by multiple people preventing him from leaving, with one of them brandishing a gun before robbing him and fleeing the area.
The teen was robbed of his cell phone, sneakers, hat, debit card, and ID cards. The victim refused medical attention.
The teen was originally identified as a 21-year-old, but the NYPD has since corrected the information.
