NEW YORK (77WABC) — The NYPD is asking for help in looking for two men who attacked a 42-year-old Asian man on the train platform of the A/C train in the Fulton Street station.
It was reported to police that on Friday, May 27 around 3:30 p.m. the man was punched multiple times by the two unidentified males.
According to The New York Post, the 35-year-old man who filmed the video said he believed the incident was vigilante justice, not ethnic hate. He said one of the men claimed the Asian man had just tried to sexually assault a woman in a subway car, so he pulled him off onto the platform.
