New York drivers getting a hugh break at the pump beginning Wednesday. The state is declaring a gas tax holiday -shaving the 16-cent per gallon tax on gas through the rest of the year. Connecticut was one of the first states to declare a gas tax holiday. Gas prices at the pump have been more or less hovering around the $ 5 dollar a gallon mark in the tri state area because of the skyrocketing price of oil.
