NEW YORK, NEW YORK -(77 WABC)- You’ will soon be able to catch the LIRR at grand central station.
Governor Hochul announcing Tuesday the 700 thousand -square foot Long Island Rail Road will be named Grand Central Madison terminal.
Morning rush hour trains will increase to 158 train from 113. Afternoon and evening rush hour trains to increase to 158 trains from 98.
The terminal is on track to open by the end of the year.
