Video; Suspect on the run in a Hatchet Attack in the Flatiron District

New York, NY (77WABC)-The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect seen in the video in connection with a hatchet attack Monday night just before 10 pm at West 26 Street and Avenue of Americas.

Police say a verbal dispute between a 19-year-old male and the suspect led to the teenager being attacked.

Police say the suspect displayed a hatchet and hit the victim’s leg and foot, causing lacerations.

EMS responded and transported the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue in stable condition. The individual fled northbound on a moped.
