Legionnaires’ outbreak in the Bronx

NEW YORK, NEW YORK -(77WABC)- The New York City Health Department is keeping a close eye on cases of Legionnaires disease in the Bronx. Four cases have been confirmed since May 9th in the Highbridge section. Test results on several other people are still to be determined.

So far no deaths have been reported.  Legionnaires can cause flu-like symptoms.

Health officials say to seek medical attention if you have a cough, fever or difficulty breathing.
