WASHINGTON (77 WABC) — Health officials holding a Whitehouse update Wednesday on the coronavirus. The Centers For Disease Control and Prevention Director Rochelle Walensky says although COVID cases are much lower than during the peek of the pandemic, the subvariant is on the rise.
The COVID alert level in New York City is high. Mayor Adams is currently not on board with reinstating mask mandates at indoor public spaces and schools
The CDC says the 7 day average is around 94 thousand cases a day. Hospital admissions are also up — but not nearly as high during the pandemic.
