Intern Dean Pavlou – St Louis Blues Vs Colorado Avalanche Recap

charles-leclaire-usa-today-sports-6

Last night the St Louis Blues faced off against the Colorado Avalanche in Colorado for game one of the second round. With 3:19 left in the third period and the Avalanche leading 2-1 Jordan Kyrou wristed one past goalie Darcy Kuemper to tie the game. Kyrou’s goal forced the game to go into overtime, where with 8:02 left in overtime Josh Manson scored his first goal of the postseason to give Colorado the game one victory over St Louis. Colorado outshot St Louis 54-25 and had a lot of opportunities in this game. I think that the Avalanche are the team to beat in the NHL, because they have everything, they need to win a Stanley cup. They have one of the best players in the NHL in Nathan Mackinnon, one of the best defensemen in Cale Makar, Gabriel Landeskog, and Nazem Kadri. This series will resume on Friday night in Colorado for game two, and I can’t wait to see how it unfolds.
