NEW YORK, NEW YORK -(77WABC)- New York city’s now at a “high”-COVID alert level.
Mayor Adams upgraded the alert because of a recent surge in COVID related hospitalizations.
New York City Health commissioner Dr. Aswan Vasan put out a statement saying in part , “now is the time to double down on protecting ourselves and each other.”
Kids ages – 5 -11 – can get vaccinated with the FDA authorizing a Pfizer booster shot.
They can get their booster 5 months after their first two vaccinations.
