Ron Galella, who began snapping photos in the Airforce during the Korean war—to grabbing shots of the rich and famous in the 60’s and 70’s has died at the age of 91 in New Jersey. Galella who was born in the Bronx, made a name for himself by snapping photos when his subjects would least expect it, catching celebrities such as Jackie O, Elvis and actor Marlin Brando who broke his jaw and knocked his teeth out.
Many of his photos were taken on the streets of New York.
