NEW YORK (77WABC) — The NYPD is asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who punched an MTA train conductor after she told him he could not smoke on a subway train.
It was reported on Saturday, March 19 around 2:40 a.m. — in a southbound F train car at the Church Avenue train station — the MTA conductor approached the attacker to tell him not to smoke on the train The man then punched the conductor on the right side of her face causing swelling and a cut to her lip.
The attacker then took out a sharp object —cutting the conductor on her hand and right leg. EMS responded and removed the conductor to Maimonides Medical Center in stable condition where she received multiple stitches for her injuries.
The attacker fled the station with an unknown female.
