NEW YORK (77 WABC) — Trouble for Vladimir Putin. Some high ranking officials in his inner circle are beginning to question the Russian president’s decision to go to war with Ukraine. Bloomberg news is reporting some in the Putin administration think the invasion of Ukraine was a catastrophic mistake.

Sources say the decision to invade Ukraine was made by Putin and a handful of Russian elites.

More top insiders believe the war will leave Russia isolated, heighten tensions, cripple its economy and compromise global influence for years to come.
