NEW YORK (77 WABC) —The world’s richest man Elon Musk may have come competition in his $43 billion dollar offer to buy Twitter.
A source close to the situation told The New York Post private equity giant Thoma Bravo is working on a possible rival bid for the social media giant.

The source familiar with the matter told the Post that Bravo’s firm has an internal team working on the potential transaction.
Musk on Thursday made a non-binding offer of $54.20 a share for Twitter, telling the company it was his best and final offer. Shares skyrocketed 18% on the news. Musk bought a 9.2% stake in Twitter earlier this month.
