NEW YORK (77WABC) — The alleged gunman in Tuesdays Brooklyn subway shooting is no stranger to law enforcement. Frank James, was arrested in New Jersey more than two decades ago for allegedly threatening his old boss after getting fired.
James was also on the NYPD’s radar arrested 12 times between 1984 and 1998 on charges ranging from burglary to criminal sexual acts. James appeared in federal court on a terrorism charge yesterday and remains held. He allegedly fired off 33 rounds shooting ten people and injuring 19 others.
All victims are expected to survive. A motive is unknown. Investigators are looking into 450 YouTube video rants posted by James.
