President Joe Biden meets virtually with Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India
NEW YORK (77 WABC) — President Joe Biden’s polling numbers are at an all time low according to a CBS news/Yougov survey. Just 42% of those surveyed gave Biden positive marks when asked about his job approval. It’s 20 points below Biden’s approval rating a year ago in march of 2021.
Dissatisfaction is driven by a 63% disapproval rating on the economy and a 69% disapproval rating on inflation. On the national economy 31% gave Biden good grades and 63% disapproved of his handling of the economy.
66% of respondents said higher prices have been a hardship on their family. 65% of respondents said Biden could do more to lower gas prices. The poll was done April 5th to the 8th, and sampled over 2,000 us adults nationally.
