NEW YORK (77WABC) — New video from the NYPD shows a man was being beaten into critical condition by a panhandler who also mugged him inside a Midtown Manhattan McDonald’s.
The 53-year-old victim was making a purchase from a kiosk inside the McDonald’s on Seventh Ave. near W. 34th St. when the attacked got up from a chair and demanded his wallet. The man tried to walk away but he was followed by the attacker who punched him to the ground and kicked him in the head before struggling and losing consciousness.
The attacker is described as a man with a medium complexion, slim build, last seen wearing a black winter hat, a dark blue North Face jacket with yellow trim, dark blue, gray and white pants and brown boots.
