KYIV, Ukraine (77WABC) — Both Russia and Ukraine are projecting optimism ahead of another scheduled round of talks, even as Moscow’s forces rain fire on Kyiv and other major cities. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, meanwhile, has gone before the U.S. Congress via video to plead for help from America, saying: “We need you right now.” With Moscow’s ground advance on the Ukrainian capital stalled, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov says a neutral military status for Ukraine is being “seriously discussed” by the two sides. And Zelenskyy says Russia’s demands for ending the war were becoming “more realistic.”
