Governor Cuomo Meets With NYC Democratic Mayoral Primary Winner Eric Adams in New York, US – 14 Jul 2021
NEW YORK (77WABC) — A new poll suggests that if ex-Governor Andrew Cuomo were to challenge current New York Governor Kathy Hochul in NY’s Democratic primary, he would only be trailing her by just 4 percentage points.
The poll, done by The Hill and Emerson College, finds Hochul with 37% support compared to Cuomo’s 33%.
Cuomo resigned last august after a state Attorney General report found he allegedly sexually harassed 11 women. He has not announced any future political endeavors.
Without Cuomo in the mix, Hochul leads all other gubernatorial hopefuls by 42%. Her closest challenger Jumaane Williams with just 10% support.
The poll also cited an increased distrust of the state A-G’s sexual harassment findings against Cuomo.
