NEW YORK, NEW YORK -(77WABC)- An Asian woman who was struck in the head with a rock in Queens back in November has died.
61 year old Gui Ying Ma, died at Elmhurst Hospital from the head injuries she suffered in the Nov. 26 attack in North Corona.
Police say Elisual Perez allegedly attacked the woman after getting into an argument with her on a sidewalk.
The attack caved in her skull and caused serious brain damage. She briefly awoke from a coma, however officials say she died last Tuesday, Febriary 22nd.
Perez now looking at upgraded charges.
