NEW YORK -(77WABC)- The head of the LIRR is leaving his post. Phillip Eng is resigning as president of the Long Island Rail Road. He’s been running the railroad for nearly four years. MTA chair and chief executive officer Janno Lieber made the announcement Thursday. “Phil has been a really strong leader at the Long Island Rail Road,” Lieber said. Metro-North President Catherine Rinaldi will take over for the time being.
