U.S.-NEW YORK-ATTACK-POLICE
NEW YORK, NEW YORK -(77WABC)- An off-duty NYPD housing officer is recovering after being shot in the foot leaving a vigil at a community center in Manhattanville Saturday afternoon. The shooting happened around 4:30 PM near Broadway and 130th Street .
Its the seventh time an NYPD officer has been shot this year. The officer was rushed to Mt Sinai Morningside Hospital. Police say he was struck as two men fired shots in the area. He’s expected to make a full recovery. So far, no arrests have been made
Last Month, two NYPD officers were shot and killed responding to a domestic call in Harlem.
