NEW YORK (77WABC) — Police say two separate carjackings happened in Manhattan less than an hour apart on Wednesday.

According to police, the first took place on West 55th Street and Broadway around 4:30 p.m. when a man stole a black Audi SUV, threatening the driver with a taser.

You can see all the action going down on police body cam video, which appears to show a police officer attempting to stop the man — which drove straight into another car, forcing it to go backwards and eventually spin around.

Police said that the SUV ended up crashing into a pole and flower bed t West 57th Street. He then took off on foot and disappeared into the Columbus Circle subway station.

The police officer suffered minor injures.

About 45 minutes later, police said another male suspect armed with a box cutter stole a black Infiniti with TLC plates on West 36th Street near Seventh Avenue.

No injuries were immediately reported in the second incident and police say they are unrelated. Both carjacking suspects remained on the loose as of late Wednesday.
