Yesterday the Jets came in as 14 point underdogs with nobody expecting them to win at home. On the first drive rookie running back Michael Carter who has played really well this year broke off a huge run. Later in the drive wide receiver Braxton Berrios ran in a touchdown from one yard out on a trick play to put the Jets up early. On the Bucs first drive they came right back down and scored on a touchdown pass from Brady to Evans. After the Jets got the ball back they went down the field again and scored on a 9 yard touchdown pass from Wilson to Berrios. At halftime the Jets lead the Bucs 17-10. The jets took a 24-10 lead in the 3rd quarter after a one yard touchdown run from Ty Johnson. After the Jets went up by two scores the Buccaneers came roaring back after a 4 yard touchdown from Brady to Cameron Brate on fourth and goal. The Buccaneers stepped up big time by stopping the Jets a couple of times in a row in the second Half giving Tampa Bay the opportunity to come back. Late in the fourth quarter the Jets had a change to seal the game up 24-20 when their was a miscommunication on what play they should run. The Jets Sideline tried to communicate to Wilson that they wanted to run an end around to Braxton Berrios like they did earlier in the game for a touchdown, but Wilson ended up running a QB sneak which didn’t work. This ended up costing the Jets as Brady and the Buccaneers came back down and scored a game winning touchdown on a 33 yard touchdown pass from Brady to Cyril Grayson. The Bucs ended up winning the game 28-24 after getting the two point conversion. This was a really fun game to watch but was a really tough loss for the Jets, because I thought this was a game that they deserved to win. The most positive thing to come from this game was how well rookie quarterback Zach Wilson played. Wilson went 19 of 33 with 234 passing yards and a touchdown pass. If Wilson continues to play like that the Jets will have a very bright future ahead of them. On the Other side Tom Brady turned in another incredible performance going 34 of 50 for 410 yards passing, 3 touchdowns and one interception. The Jets close out their season with a road game against the Bills, while the Buccaneers will host the Panthers, as they get ready for the playoffs.
