Manhattan (77WABC)- Two men who allegedly fired shots at an off duty NYPD officer are on the run.
The off duty NYPD cop was inside of his vehicle, an Audi, at Macomb’s Place and West 154th Street when the two men approached. The officer refused to comply with the two men during which what is believed to have been an attempted carjacking.
The two gunmen fired their weapons striking the off duty officers Audi but not the officer.
Police say the off duty cop was not hurt.
The officer said the two gunmen wearing dark clothing fled in a vehicle.
An investigation is ongoing.
