NEW YORK, NEW YORK -(77WABC)- The New York City Council voting Thursday to allow non citizens the right to vote in local elections, but not in state and Presidential elections.

New York State Republican Committee Chairman Nick Langworthy appearing on  77 WABC’S “CATS AT NIGHT SHOW”, says “this will create a voter integrity crisis.”

The new law would allow close to one million residents to vote in local elections.

Anyone who has lived in the city for at least 30 days, and are legal permanent residents in the U.S. would be allowed to vote.
