NEW YORK, NEW YORK -(77WABC)- A shocking new development involving former Governor Andrew Cuomo.
The New York Post reporting Federal investigators are looking into sexual harassment claims against Cuomo, which forced him to resign in disgrace.
The DOJ had previously investigated the Cuomo administration’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, its cover-up of nursing home deaths, and Cuomo’s $5.1 million dollar book deal.
According to the Post, Cuomo’s spokesperson said the probe apparently involved potential violations of civil statutes, and was launched after state Attorney General Letitia James riveting report, leading Cuomo to resign under threat of impeachment. James is running for governor.
Cuomo was charged with forcible touching for allegedly groping an assistant last year at the executive mansion in Albany.
Cuomo says the allegations are false.
