NEW YORK (77WABC) — Former President Donald Trump said he was recently visited at his Mar-A-Lago club by Kyle Rittenhouse, after being acquitted in his murder trial less than a week ago.
Trump spoke about the meeting on Fox News’ Hannity last night, praising Rittenhouse.

“Kyle, I got to know him a little bit,” Trump told Hannity. “He called. He wanted to know if he could come over and say hello because he was a fan, unlike the other guy.”
“He should never have been put through that,” Trump added in reference to the trial. “That was prosecutorial misconduct.”
A jury last Friday cleared Rittenhouse after he fatally shot two men and wounded a third in Kenosha, Wisconsin, in August 2020.
