NEW YORK (77WABC) — Goya Foods has announced that it is donating 100,000 pounds of their products to essential workers.
The food distribution this morning took place at NYC Health and Hospitals on 1st Avenue in Manhattan. Goya distributed 1,200 bags of food filled with the company’s products.
Todays event featured a host of people including Rafael Toro of Goya and Cristina Contreras, the CEO of NYC Health and Hospitals Manhattan.
Goya says its distribution is part of their global initiative and 85th anniversary celebration. Goya added that it is also distributing over 100,000 pounds of food to families in need this Thanksgiving.
