CHICAGO, ILLINOIS -(77WABC)- Barely a week to go before Thanksgiving and you’re noticing stores are out of essentials for making your Turkey dinner.
Its note your imagination. IRI, a market research firm that tracks US retail sales is confirming store shelves are stocked with less products to prepare dinner.
During the first week of November whole bird frozen fixed weight turkeys were in stock at 64 percent on average in stores nationwide.
This time last year it was 86 percent. Supply issues and a last minute increase in demand to blame for the shortage.
