An Attempted Luring of a 13-Year-Old Girl in NJ; She Took Photo’s of the Suspects SUV

Jackson Township, NJ (77-WABC)-A 13-year-old girl escaped a potential kidnapping in Jackson Township, NJ on Saturday. Police in Jackson Township say the teen was walking down Pitney Lane near Danielle Court when a man driving an SUV approached her and attempted to lure her into his vehicle, a white GMC Yukon XL.

Detectives say the girl was approaching Danielle Court when the driver asked her, “are you cold? I can give you a ride. Get in my car.”

Police say the quick thinking teenage was able to take pictures of the suspects vehicle, a GMC Yukon XL  believed to be manufactured between the years 2007 and 2014, seen attached to this article.

The girl fled to the nearest home on Danielle Court for help. The suspect left the area and was last seen on Pitney Lane heading towards East Veterans Highway.

Police say the suspect is believed to be around 40-years-old. He’s believed to be Hispanic, with short brown hair and was last seen wearing a dark-colored t-shirt.

The Yukon XL has what appears to be black-painted six-spoke wheels and  is missing its rear window wiper.
