STATEN ISLAND, NEW YORK (77WABC)— A Staten Island judge has said no to the Police Benevolent Association for a temporary restraining order regarding the city’s vaccine mandate.
The PBA is the NYPD’S largest union. The mandate requires all city workers to get the vaccination on Friday, and they’ll have until 5pm to do so.
PBA President Patrick Lynch said the union plans to appeal the ruling. Meantime, New York City firefighters plan to demonstrate against the mandate
order set by Mayor de blasio on Thursday in front of Gracie Mansion.
