Bay Shore, NY (77WABC)-A 24-year-old Bay Shore man, Anthony Gilbert, was left to die on Walbridge Avenue in Bay Shore shortly after midnight Monday. Suffolk County Police say the man was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the stabbing, which they say happened during a fight.
Third Precinct police officers responded to a report of a stabbing on Walbridge Avenue in Bay Shore at approximately 12:05 a.m. finding Gilbert.
Detectives are asking anyone with information on the stabbing to contact the Homicide Squad at 631-852-6392 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
