Brooklyn, NY (77WABC)-Police say off duty NYPD Officer, 31-year-old Yvonne Wu was calmly waiting for responding officers Wednesday after allegedly shooting her ex and killing the ex’s 24-year-old female friend. Police say the officer had a relationship with the 23-year-old.
Police say Officer Wu was inside the Benson Hurst home owned by her 23-year-old ex partner, when the 23-year-old arrived with 24-year-old Jamie Liang. Liang, of 526 East 20 Street NY, NY died after being shot multiple times in her chest.
Police said ballistics and a weapon was recovered from the scene, however Assistant Chief Michael Kemper, patrol commander of Brooklyn South, could not confirm during last night’s press conference if the weapon was Officer Wu’s service revolver.

The officer was taken into custody for a medical evaluation. She may face murder charges.
Asst. Chief Kemper said the 23-year-old shooting victim is expected to survive.
Wu worked out of thee 72nd Precinct located at 830 4th Ave, in Brooklyn. She’s been with the department for five years. Police say Wu worked her overnight shift and was scheduled to work again Wednesday.
