New York, NY (77WABC)-Police say a 13-year-old captured on surveillance video walking down a Bronx street with a weapon, is charged with attempted murder in the shooting of another 13-year-old.
Police says the two 13-year-olds argued inside Hunts Point Playground at 704 Hunts Point Avenue with the 13-year-old gunman allegedly shooting the other 13-year-old male in his left knee. The gunman fled the playground along with 4 other individuals who are wanted for questioning in connection with the shooting.
The teen under arrest is also charged with harassment and three counts of assault in connection with the shooting on Oct. 7th,2021 at 5:37 in the afternoon.
The wounded 13-year-old was taken to NYC Health and Hospitals in Harlem by EMS for treatment.
Although police have not released the name of the 13-year-old arrested, police said in an original press released the gunman goes by the nickname “Chulo.”
There is a second individual pictured in the video that is wanted for questioning. He is described as a male; last seen wearing a red sweatshirt, light colored jeans, multicolored sneakers and a black fanny pack.
