New York, NY (77WABC)- Nicki Minaj made headlines earlier this week when she took to her twitter to comment on why she wasn’t attending the Met Gala or getting the vaccine:
“My cousin in Trinidad won’t get the vaccine cuz his friend got it & became impotent. His testicles became swollen. His friend was weeks away from getting married, now the girl called off the wedding. So just pray on it & make sure you’re comfortable with ur decision, not bullied.”
“They want you to get vaccinated for the Met. If I get vaccinated it won’t for the Met. It’ll be once I feel I’ve done enough research. I’m working on that now.”
Many people took to their social media (see below tweet) to slam Minaj for encouraging her millions of followers to avoid the vaccine. Dr. Fauci also put a stop to the “impotence’ rumors with Jake Tapper on CNN.
“The answer to that, Jake, is a resounding no. There’s no evidence that it happens — nor is there any mechanistic reason to imagine that it would happen, so the answer to your question is no,” stated Fauci. He also said: “She should be thinking twice about propagating information that really has no basis except a one-off anecdote, and that’s not what science is all about.”.
What do you think?
