New York, NY (77WABC)- The NYPD is reporting on Twitter that on Friday, September 3rd at approximately 10:32 pm, a group assumed to be ‘Black Lives Matters’ approached the 46th Precinct in the Bronx in order to protest a prior police shooting.
The group started out with a simple protest, then shortly after pushed through barricades of officers that were protecting their precinct. The masses then began to throw eggs at an unmarked police van, which was not the worst of it. An individual with the group then proceeded to douse the van—which was occupied with a police office—with gasoline. The investigation to identify the deranged person pouring the gasoline is currently underway, and they could face state plus federal charges for their actions.
