At Least 7 Dead in NYC MTA Service Remains Largely Suspended Due to Historic Flooding

New York, NY (77WABC)-At least seven people are reported dead in NYC due to historic flooding from the remnants of Tropical Storm Ida.

The MTA says service remains largely suspended this morning due to flooding.

Around 10 pm Wednesday, police discovered a 50-year-old man, a 48-year-old woman, and a 2-year-old little boy dead inside the home on 64th Street in Flushing, Queens.

A 43-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man were killed  when flooding collapsed the wall of their home on 183rd Street  in Jamaica, Queens.

A woman and her 20’s in Forrest Hills and a man in his 60’s in Cypress Hills, Brooklyn were also reported killed due to flooding.
