MORRIS HEIGHTS—(77WABC)
A gunman opened fire on a Bronx street early Saturday, killing one man and injuring another, officials said.
The two victims, ages 23 and 27, were standing outside an apartment building on Davidson Ave. near W. 176th St. in the Morris Heights neighborhood around 4:10 a.m. when a gunman opened fire at them.
Responding officers found the 27-year-old man shot in the chest and right leg. The younger victim had also been shot in the chest.
EMS rushed the older man to BronxCare Health System, but he could not be saved.
Cops withheld his name pending notification of his family.
The younger victim was rushed to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition and expected to survive.
The gunman fled the scene. No arrests have been made.
