Central Islip, NY (77WABC)-Suffolk County Police have arrested an East Islip man in connection with a fatal shooting outside of Mi Nuevo Encanto bar , at 65 Carleton Ave., in Central Islip early Monday.
Shortly after 1 in the morning, Suffolk County Police arrested Ismael Rodriguez-Rosado in the fatal shooting of German Ramirez. The 31-year-old Ramirez, of Bay Shore, was shot multiple times following an argument on the bar’s property. Police say he was pronounced dead at South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore.
Investigators say Rodriguez-Rosado and Ramirez were known to one another prior to the altercation.
Police say Rodriguez-Rosado fled the scene of the shooting. He was located by responding officers a short time later.
Rodriguez-Rosado, 27-years-old of 53B Washington St., was charged with Murder 2nd Degree. Rodriguez-Rosado was held overnight at the Third Precinct. He is scheduled for arraignment today at First District Court in Central Islip.
