New York, NY (77WABC) — NYPD Detectives are searching for two suspects, involved in two separate and unprovoked attacks in Manhattan and in The Bronx over the weekend.

The NYPD releasing surveillance video of each of the suspects — hoping the public will help them catch the individual responsible.

The first attack happened early Saturday morning in Hell’s Kitchen, after cops say a 23-year-old woman was slashed in the hand and chest.   Police say the victim was walking on West 46th Street just after 4:30 in the morning, when she was attacked from behind.

Cops say the victim refused medical attention on the scene — but did later seek treatment at a nearby hospital.  Surveillance video shows the suspect, wearing a black and dark-colored clothing, walking down West 46th Street after the attack.

While the investigation is ongoing in the Hell’s Kitchen slashing, another slashing occurred hours later in the South Bronx.

Investigators say at 11 Saturday morning, a suspect approached a 31-year-old man, as he was riding a southbound 2 train at 149th Street and the Grand Concourse.   Authorities tell 77WABC the suspect attacked the victim — slicing him in his neck.

Cops say the victim needed 16 stitches to close up his wound.   The NYPD describe the suspect as a dark-skinned male, approximately 6-feet-tall.

NYPD released a photo of the suspect, wearing a black and white Nike t-shirt and dark jeans, with a black mask partially covering his face.

Citywide, felony assaults are up 6-percent, compared to this same time-period last year.
