New York (77WABC) – A madman was busted wielding an ax during a fight on a subway Tuesday afternoon.
The NYPD said the intended victim was on a southbound 2 train when he got into a fight with 46-year-old Steve Hunt around 5 p.m. on Tuesday. Hunt then allegedly pulled out an ax and started swinging it after the argument got worse.
The victim and bystanders rushed out of the train as it pulled in at 34th Street–Penn Station stop. Hunt was arrested in the station and charged with attempted aggravated harassment, attempted menacing, criminal possession of a weapon, and disorderly conduct.
Police said that Hunt has 10 unsealed arrests dating back to 2009.
