The U.S. Tennis Association Serving Fans with 100% Capacity for the U.S. Open

New York City, NY (77WABC)-The two-week U.S. Open will have 100% fan capacity when the event returns on August 30th of this year at The USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center Stadium Complex in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park in Queens, NY.

The overnight announcement from the U.S. Tennis Association comes after NY Governor Andrew Cuomo eased the remaining COVID restrictions for the state. The easing came after the Centers for Disease Control announced NY State had hit the 70% threshold for residents vaccinated for Covid 19.

Last year, spectators were banned completely from the Grand Slam event because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The U.S. Tennis Association says that all tickets for courts and grounds passes will go on sale in July.
