Brooklyn, NY (77WABC)-Two suspects are on the lam after both men allegedly physically attacked a 28-year 0ld man as he descended stairs at the Euclid Avenue Subway Station for the “a” and”c” lines. Police say the two suspects engaged the man in small talk before one of the suspects punched the victim in his face. A struggle began with the second suspect approaching the man from behind and again punching him in his face.
The suspects stole the man’s Batman wallet, ID, bank cards, and Galaxy Buds Pro headphones. Police say the first suspect fled on foot and the second suspect fled on a motorized scooter.
The photos and videos show the suspects on Wednesday, June 9th, 2021, at 12:07 pm inside of a grocery/bodega located at 1097 Liberty Avenue, after they unsuccessfully tried to use one of the man’s bank cards at a nearby florist.
The victim called 911 from home. He was taken by EMS to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where he was treated for a severe injury to his left eye and a laceration to his face.
In May NYC Mayor Bill DeBlasio assigned an additional 250 police officers to patrol the MTA Transit System to help keep riders safe.
