May 28 is National Hamburger Day, taking place right before Memorial Day and signifying the start of the grilling season. Plenty of restaurants serve their take on an American classic with their choice of condiments and extras, and everyone who loves a hamburger is sure to have a favorite. Coinciding with National Hamburger Day, from now until June 12 any customer who has proof of COVID-19 vaccination can claim free crinkle-cut fries with the purchase of a burger or chicken sandwich at Shake Shack. You can’t go wrong with fries for your burger.

Smashburger is celebrating the day with a $5 Double Classic Smash, available online or in-store at participating locations. With two angus beef patties, all the classic fixins like lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, peppers, and cheese plus their signature Smash Sauce, this is deal that won’t “Smash” your wallet.

It’s not quite a burger but you need something to wash the burger down with. Pepsi will reimburse fans up to $3.49 for Pepsi products on National Burger Day if they share a photo of themselves with a Pepsi and a burger on social media with the hashtag #BetterWithPepsi.
