Queens, NY (77WABC) Suspects are at large after a 36-year-old man was shot in his stomach and a second 28-year-old victim had his fanny pack stolen while being held up at gunpoint.
The two unidentified suspects, in a silver BMX SUV, came upon two men around 9 in the morning at the intersection of Ferndale Avenue and Liverpool Street. One of the suspects exited the BMX while the driver of the SUV remained inside the vehicle.
The gunman forcibly removed a fanny pack from the 28-year-old and then discharged his firearm once. The 36-year-old man was struck by the gunfire in his stomach and transported by EMS to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in stable condition. The 28-year-old refused medical treatment.
The gunman and the driver fled the scene in the BMX SUV and were last seen traveling westbound on Ferndale Avenue.
Surveillance video and photos depict the unidentified males and the vehicle they fled in following the shooting.
