NEW YORK (77WABC) – New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy announced an Executive Order today, giving new guidance for employers during COVID-19.
“Today, I’ll issue an Executive Order giving additional guidance and flexibility to employers – especially those in office settings – as they look to their own continued return to normal operating practices,” said Murphy in a tweet.
Effective June 4, the Executive Order includes ditching the mask for employees who can verify they are vaccinated at their jobs, as well as getting rid of the requirement to accommodate remote working and having the minimal number of employees on site.
Murphy also announced new rules for schooling, saying that part-time in-person instruction will be open for districts serving most students. He added that group child care classes will go back to their normal levels in order to help parents get back to work.
