A Suspect Arrested in A Hate Crime at a Brooklyn Synagogue

Brooklyn, NY (77WABC)-A 20-year-old Brooklyn man is charged with a hate crime and aggravated harassment following an anti-semitic incident last Saturday in front of Agudath Israel of Sixteenth Avenue.
The NYPD says Danial Shakut of 65th St. was allegedly one of a group of three male suspects who pulled up in a blue Toyota Camry in front of the synagogue and began yelling anti-Jewish statements at a group of four males.  The four men entered the synagogue and locked the door.
According to police, two of the male suspects then exited the Toyota Camry and began to bang on the front door of the synagogue.
The male suspects then kicked the passenger side mirror to of an unoccupied 2014 Audi Q7 parked at the location, resulting in $250 dollars in property damage.
