Three Banks Targeted on Staten Island A Suspects at Large

Staten Island, NY (77WABC)-A suspect targeted three banks on Staten Island netting over $3,600 in stolen proceeds.

Two of the robberies were successful,  one was not. In the first instance, a male suspect entered the  New York Community Bank, located at 1000 Hyland Boulevard handing the teller a note stating he had a gun demanding cash. The teller refused the man’s demand to hand over cash, and the suspect fled without further incident.

In his second attempt, six minutes later, the suspect fled with $3,200  after entering the Northfield  Bank, located at 1158 Hyland Boulevard,  displaying the same note to the teller stating he had a gun and demanding cash.

The Northfield Bank, located at 2178 Hyland Boulevard, was hit next. The suspect again displayed a note to the teller demanding cash.  He fled with $466 in proceeds.

The individual is described as a male, who is approximately 5’10 and 150 pounds.  He was last seen wearing a red sweatshirt, blue surgical mask, and a white hat.
